Solar in Pace, Florida

Pace is full of newer roofs, growing families, and power bills that climb every summer. That is the exact house solar pays off fastest on, and we will show you the real numbers before you decide anything.

Solar for Pace, done in the open.

Quality Business Awards named Ape Solar the "Best Solar Panel Installer in Pace, Florida 2026." For the record, the design and project management is us and the physical install is a state-licensed contractor, but we will take the compliment.

Pace has some of the best solar housing stock in the county: newer construction, sound roofs with years of life left, and open exposure. A system installed on a five-year-old roof runs its whole life without a re-roof interrupting it.

How it works

We run the project. A licensed contractor does the install.

Ape Solar is veteran owned and locally owned. We design your system, supply the equipment from our own Gulf Breeze warehouse, and manage the job from permit to power-on. The physical install is performed by a state-licensed electrical contractor. Advanced Wire Pros (FL license EC13005911) is our primary contractor of record. They pull the permit and carry the license; we own the result.

Every price is published on this site. Run the system builder and you will see the same numbers we see, part by part, before you ever talk to anyone.

What solar looks like in Pace.

Most of Pace is FPL territory, so grid-tied systems earn net metering credit for exported power. North toward Chumuckla you may be on the Escambia River co-op, which runs its own rules. Your bill says which.

Summer bills are the driver here. We size against twelve months of your actual usage, and we will tell you what the system does to the August bill specifically, since that is the one that hurts.

Battery backup is optional on a grid-tied system, but after Sally in 2020 most Pace customers add at least enough battery to carry the fridge, the freezer, and the internet through a multi-day outage.

Thinking about backup power specifically? Start with the battery backup page. Want the money answer first? The cost page has real, dated numbers.

Pace questions we actually get.

Is Ape Solar really the best installer in Pace?

Quality Business Awards said so for 2026, and our Google rating is 5.0. To be precise about roles: we design the system, supply the equipment, and manage the project, and a state-licensed contractor (Advanced Wire Pros, FL EC13005911) performs the install.

What does a system for a typical Pace house cost?

Equipment for a grid-tied package runs about $0.94 per watt as of mid 2026, and fully managed installs with batteries have been landing between $2.50 and $3.30 per watt. Run the system builder on this site with your own bill for a live number.

My subdivision has an HOA. Is that a problem?

Usually no. Florida law strongly limits how far an HOA can go in blocking solar. They can have a say in placement details, and we handle that paperwork as part of running the project.

How long does an install take?

The on-roof work is usually days. The full timeline is dominated by permitting and the utility interconnection, which typically runs some weeks. We manage all of it and you can see the status the whole way.
