Sell us your used solar panels.
Panels off a roof, batteries from a closed project, a pallet of racking that did not get used. If it works, we are probably buyers. We are the local shop that pays for secondhand solar near Pensacola, 25 minutes away in Gulf Breeze. Tell us what you have.
A real shop that buys secondhand gear, not a marketplace listing.
Upgrading your array, clearing out a project, or selling a house with panels the buyer does not want? You can list it on Facebook Marketplace and wait, or you can send it to a shop that tests solar for a living. Ape Solar carries a rotating stock of tested used equipment for the DIY and off-grid crowd across the Florida panhandle and south Alabama, and your gear is where that stock comes from. Working panels rated 300W and up, batteries that still hold a charge, name-brand inverters and racking. Send photos, get an offer, get paid.
The gear that earns shelf space.
Working condition first. Brand and model second. If we cannot test it or resell it with a clean conscience, we pass.
Solar panels
300W or higher. Crystalline modules in working order. Microcracks, fading, surface scratches are fine. Cracked glass, water inside the laminate, or dead cells are not.
Batteries
LiFePO4 server-rack and wall-mount packs that still hold a charge. EG4, SimpliPhi, and the rest. We test capacity and state of health before we quote.
Inverters and racking
Hybrid, off-grid, and grid-tie inverters from the brands we already sell. IronRidge, Unirac, and other name-brand rails, clamps, and ground mounts.
Three steps, no surprises.
You send photos
Brand, model, count, and a few clear photos. The label on the back of a panel is the one we care about most.
We quote a number
Within one business day. If the gear is a fit, we send a price for the lot and a pickup or freight plan.
We test it on arrival
Every unit goes on the bench. The final payout matches the inspection. Nothing goes on the shelf until we know it works.
Tell us what you have.
The more detail you can fit, the faster we can quote. Panels under 300W are not in scope right now, but everything else on the list is fair game.
Rather just call?
850-530-1872Gulf Breeze line, 25 minutes from Pensacola. Tell us what you have over the phone and we will text you back where to send the photos.
What gets you a faster number
- A photo of the label on the back of a panel. That one tells us the model and wattage.
- How many you have, and roughly how old.
- A wide shot of the whole lot or array.
- Where it sits, so we can plan pickup or freight.
An offer is not a commitment. Every unit still goes on the bench before the final number, so the payout matches what the gear actually tests at, both ways.
Selling gear, answered.
Who buys used solar panels near Pensacola?
We do. Ape Solar runs a warehouse in Gulf Breeze, about 25 minutes from downtown Pensacola, and we buy working used panels, batteries, and inverters year round. Send photos and model numbers and we make an offer. What we buy becomes our used-gear shelf.
How much do you pay for used solar panels?
It depends on wattage, condition, and how many you have. We quote the lot after seeing photos, confirm it on the bench when it arrives, and the final payout matches the inspection. Higher-wattage, clean, working panels are worth more.
Do you buy just a few panels, or only big lots?
Both. A pallet from a closed project or a handful off a roof upgrade, if it works and it is 300W or higher, we are probably buyers. Panels under 300W are not in scope right now.
Do you buy a whole system or a decommissioned array?
Yes. Panels, inverter, batteries, and racking together. If you need the system taken off the roof first, that is our decommission service, and any qualifying panels get credited back against the removal.
Do you buy inverters, batteries, and racking too, or only panels?
All of it. Hybrid, off-grid, and grid-tie inverters from the brands we sell, LiFePO4 battery packs that still hold a charge, and name-brand rails, clamps, and ground mounts.
Do I have to bring the gear to you?
Not always. For local lots around Pensacola and the Gulf Breeze area we sort out pickup or delivery. For bigger lots further out we plan freight. Tell us where it is and we figure the logistics.
How fast do you respond?
Within one business day of getting your photos and details. If the gear is a fit we send a price for the lot and a pickup or freight plan.
See where it ends up.
Tested gear we have bought back goes on the used shelf at a price the next builder can actually use.
