Shirts, hoodies and caps from the shop that sells the panels. Printed in small runs on blanks we sampled first, tagged with our own woven label. Our crew wears these on jobs, so they are built for that and not for a shelf.

Why a solar company prints its own shirts.

We started selling panels out of a garage in 2019. The people who bought those first ones still text us, and a fair number of them have built a power wall, ridden out a hurricane on batteries, or talked a neighbor into doing the same. That is the group these are for.

A shirt is not going to keep your lights on. What it does is put you in the same room as everybody else who got tired of waiting on the power company. If you own one of our systems, you already did the hard part. This is just the part you can wear to the hardware store.

How they are made

Nothing here is a throwaway tee.

We sampled the blanks before ordering any of them, the same way we sample gear before it goes on the shelf.

Blanks we would wear ourselves

AS Colour, Bella+Canvas and Independent, picked by hand and sampled before we ordered a single run. Each product page lists the exact blank and its weight.

Our tag, not theirs

The maker label comes out, a printed neck tag with the size goes in, and a woven tag gets sewn on the hem. Black tag, APE in white, SOLAR in orange. It still reads right after a year of roof work.

Small runs, printed in Florida

Fifty or so at a time with a printer we can call. That is why a size sells out and stays out for a while, and it is also why the print quality is worth paying for.
