Solar and battery backup in Navarre
Navarre sits twenty minutes from our Gulf Breeze shop, and it is one of the most storm-exposed stretches of the county. Solar with battery backup is what most Navarre customers actually want, even when they start out asking about panels.
Solar for Navarre, done in the open.
Navarre has grown fast, and a lot of the housing stock is newer roofs on big lots with good southern exposure. That is about the best starting hand a solar install can get.
We are Ape Solar, the solar shop across the sound in Gulf Breeze. We design your system, supply the equipment from our own warehouse, and manage the install, which is performed by a state-licensed electrical contractor. You can see every price on our site before you ever talk to anyone.
We run the project. A licensed contractor does the install.
Ape Solar is veteran owned and locally owned. We design your system, supply the equipment from our own Gulf Breeze warehouse, and manage the job from permit to power-on. The physical install is performed by a state-licensed electrical contractor. Advanced Wire Pros (FL license EC13005911) is our primary contractor of record. They pull the permit and carry the license; we own the result.
Every price is published on this site. Run the system builder and you will see the same numbers we see, part by part, before you ever talk to anyone.
What solar looks like in Navarre.
Most of Navarre is on FPL, so net metering credits apply to a grid-tied system. If you are north of the river you may be on the Escambia River co-op instead, which runs its own rules. Check your bill; we design around whichever utility you have.
Hurricane exposure drives the design conversations here. When Sally sat over this county in 2020, parts of Navarre went the better part of a week without power. A battery bank sized to your real loads keeps the essentials running through that.
Beach-side homes need coastal-rated racking and honest talk about wind zones. We spec for the site, and if a roof or setting is wrong for solar, we say that instead of selling it anyway.

Navarre questions we actually get.
Do you cover Navarre and Navarre Beach?
Yes. Navarre is about twenty minutes from our Gulf Breeze shop and we design and manage installs across the whole area, beach included.
Who performs the install?
A state-licensed electrical contractor. Advanced Wire Pros (FL license EC13005911) is our primary contractor of record. We design the system, supply the gear, and run the job.
How big a battery do I need to ride out an outage?
Depends on what you run. A fridge, a freezer, lights, and internet is a much smaller battery than whole-home AC. Tell us your loads and we will size it honestly instead of just quoting the biggest bank.
Can I buy the equipment and install it myself?
Yes. We sell kits and individual gear at published prices, and plenty of our Navarre customers are DIYers. We will tell you honestly which parts of the job need a licensed electrician.
