EG4 GridBOSS V2
The GridBOSS is the Microgrid Interconnection Device (MID) that ties the rest of the system together. It is not an inverter. It is the 200A service entrance, the transfer switch, the smart load panel, and the generator connection in one box. Pair it with the EG4 FlexBOSS inverter line and whole-home backup drops in without a wall of separate breakers and panels.

One box where the grid, the inverters, and the loads meet.
The EG4 GridBOSS is a Microgrid Interconnection Device, or MID. It is not a solar inverter. It is the part of the system that manages the grid connection, the backup transfer, the smart loads, and the generator input. It carries a 200A service entrance rating, has four configurable smart ports, and ties in up to three hybrid inverters and a generator. Pair it with the EG4 FlexBOSS inverter line and a whole-home or partial-home backup system comes together without a stack of separate transfer switches, combiner panels, and breakers.
One connection point
Utility power, hybrid inverters, generator, smart loads, and essential and non-essential circuits all land in a single device.
Fewer parts on the wall
Replaces back-fed breakers, feeder taps, transfer switches, and separate combiner panels. EG4 puts the typical install savings around $7,500.
200A service entrance
Delivers full 200A capacity to both backed-up and non-backed-up loads, so the whole house keeps running.
Four smart ports
Configurable ports at 125A, 80A, 60A, and 60A handle smart loads or AC coupling, with five programmable drivers for load management.
Pairs with FlexBOSS
Built to work with the EG4 FlexBOSS inverter line. Connect up to three hybrid inverters and let the GridBOSS handle the rest.
Generator ready
A 125A generator input and eight energy monitoring circuits give you backup options and a clear picture of where power is going.
The GridBOSS is the device we reach for on whole-home and partial-home backup jobs built around the FlexBOSS inverter line. It cuts the breaker count, shortens install time, and gives the homeowner real control over which loads get priority. Breakers for the smart ports, the inverter connections, and the generator input are sold separately.
