Overview

One box. Off-grid, done simple.

The EG4 6000XP is a 48V split-phase off-grid inverter that combines an inverter, a battery charger, and a solar charge controller in one unit. It puts out 6,000W at 120/240V, takes up to 8,000W of PV in across two MPPT trackers, and accepts a 480V array string. There is a dedicated generator input, so backup power has a second source when the sun is not cooperating.

What it does well

All-in-one design

Inverter, battery charger, and solar controller in a single box, so the system has fewer parts to wire and fewer parts to fail.

8kW of solar input

Room for a healthy array across two MPPT trackers, with a 480V max PV input so panel strings run longer and wire smaller.

Generator ready

A dedicated generator input means a backup source is built in, useful through a stretch of cloudy days or a heavier load.

Built-in 125A charger

Charges the battery bank from solar or grid, so the system stays topped up however the power is coming in.

Smart monitoring

Wi-Fi, 4G, LAN, and RS485 connections work with EG4 monitoring software for remote visibility and setting changes.

Parallel to 16 units

Start with one and stack up to sixteen as the loads grow. The system scales with the build, not the other way around.

Where it fits

The 6000XP is the inverter we reach for on off-grid homes, cabins, garages, sheds, workshops, and homesteading setups that need reliable solar power and battery backup. It suits anyone who wants a simpler, expandable system that can grow with future energy needs. If you need a grid-tied hybrid with whole-home backup, look at the FlexBOSS18 instead.
